    Stewart Title Guaranty

Mitch Creekmore Mitch has more than 15 years of commercial brokerage experience. He joined Stewart Title Guaranty (STG) in April 1994, to work with Hector Barraza, vice president & Mexico division manager. Mitch has been responsible for the development of a marketing strategy with implementation of the business plan for the Mexico Division of STG.

Since his employment, the division has networked with the major law firms, banks, mortgage lenders, developers and brokerage firms in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Denver, San Diego, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Tucson, Chicago, New York, Mexico City, Tijuana, Cuidad Juarez, Guadalajara, Reynosa, Nogales and Monterrey.

Mitch's primary effort has been to enlighten the real estate community on both sides of the border about the availability and benefit of title insurance on Mexico land and how the land conveyance system in Mexico functions.

As part of his marketing program, Mitch gained approval from the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Real Estate Commission, as well as the Arizona Department of Real Estate, to provide a mandatory continuing education course for attorneys and real estate brokers titled "Real Estate in Mexico Today". The course focuses on transacting real estate under the Mexican Constitution, the Foreign Investment Law changes of 1993, coupled with the "Notario and Registro Publico" system in Mexico.

In addition to teaching the Mexico course regularly in Texas and Arizona, Mitch has authored a number of articles on the Mexican system of real estate conveyance, Mexico's foreign ownership requirements, Mexican land title and subdivision development issues. He has also been a guest speaker at many Mexico business conferences including the MBA's Annual International Real Estate Conference, the San Antonio Board of Realtors Mexico Forum, Arizona's "Real Estate in Mexico" annual seminar and Houston's "Access Mexico" conference. Additionally, Mitch was responsible for developing Stewart's new marketing brochure for "title services in Mexico".

Mitch graduated from Louisiana State University in 1976 with a B.S. Degree in Economics where he was a four-year letterman in tennis earning All-Southeast Conference recognition as LSU's #1 player. Over the past 13 years and still an avid tennis competitor, Mitch has earned the #1 ranking numerous times in his respective age division in the State of Texas. He is a life long member of the Houston Racquet Club where he currently serves on the Club's Board of Directors and is Chairman of the tennis committee. Mitch is also the President of the Board of Directors for Harris County Municipal Utility District #341 and serves as a Captain on the Houston Live Stock Show & Rodeo's International Committee. Also a licensed private pilot, Mitch is single with three children.
