managing director, global capital marketsFinanial Industry Group, EDS Gabriel David is managing director of the Global Capital Markets segment of EDS’ Financial Industry Group. He is responsible for business development in key financial markets and for global account operations setup, stabilization and performance review. He leads a team of securities industry specialists in technology planning, trading technology, risk management, infrastructure support, and securities operations and applications systems. He also serves as a senior strategy advisor to senior executives of major investment and commercial banks and broker dealers in the areas of information technology investments, back office operations strategies, and global back office processing utilities. Since joining EDS in 1989, Mr. David has led business development, account operations and sales support activities in Canada, Western Europe, Asia/Pacific, and Australia; served as operations risk specialist for global financial institutions; and led winning bid teams for outsourcing in financial services and other industries. Prior to joining EDS, he held senior management positions with American Express Centurion Bank, The Riggs National Bank, and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Mr. David is active in a number of financial industry organizations and has served as a senior policy advisor to industry and regulatory agencies including the Bank of International Settlements, Federal Reserve Bank, Bank of England, Bundesbank, and the Global Association of Risk Professionals. He is a frequent speaker on financial industry trends and operating risk management at industry conferences around the world. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and master’s degree in advanced technology from the State University of New York. Mr. David enjoys military history, classical music, collecting antique coins, and learning about foreign cultures and history. He and his wife, Hong, live in Frisco, Texas. back |
