Torben Gjede Director GeneralRealkreditrådet Before his present position as Director General (CEO) of Realkreditrådet (the Association of Danish Mortgage Banks), Mr. Torben Gjede worked i.a. as an economist at the Danish Ministry Economics. His main tasks were economic analysis and research work, including participating in a research group of building an econometric model of Denmark.Mr Gjede was also an associated professor in economics at the University of Copenhagen as well as an economic columnist to the leading Danish business newspaper and the Danish correspondent to the Economist publishing Company, London. Mr. Gjede has published several articles on economic and mortgage business matters and has been active in European mortgage affairs. He is Danish Deputy Vice-President of the European Mortgage Federation, president of the Capital Market and Mortgage Bond Committee in this Federation, member of the Executive Committee of the Nordic Council of Mortgage Banks and member of the Executive Committee of the International Union for Housing Finance. Mr. Gjede, born in 1941, holds a master of science in economics from the University of Copenhagen. back |
