Walter has been head of capital markets for HSH Nordbank AG since April 2002 following an extensive career in the banking industry in both Germany and his native Austria.He began his professional experience in 1980 as a forex dealer at Creditanstalt-Bankverein in Vienna. In 1987 he joined Bank of America NT & SA in Vienna as chief dealer and manager for foreign exchange, money market and bond trading. In 1988, he moved to Bank of America's Frankfurt and then London offices, holding regional responsibility for Germany and Austria for derivative sales and trading. In 1991, he joined Schröder Münchmeyer Hengst & Co. as manager for derivative products including equity trading, and in 1994 became treasurer, head of capital markets and trading/sales/financial engineering. Walter joined Frankfurter Sparkasse 1822 in 1998 as head of all trading departments. back |
