  • Ged Hawley
    director, structured finance
    Egg Banking plc

Ged Hawley Ged graduated in Business Studies from the University of Leeds in 1981 and has spent 20 years in the financial services and retail banking industries. Ged has worked with a range of retail banking organisations both plc and mutual, with particular exposure to the UK mortgage market.

Ged joined Egg Banking plc in 1999 as a treasury analyst and within a year was heading up the asset & liability management function with particular responsibility for ALCO. This came during a period of rapid growth during which Egg launched itself as a full internet bank, with a headline rate grabbing deposit account and market leading credit card product. Following a reorganisation, Ged moved into structured finance at the end of 2002 and has since worked with Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau [KfW] to make Egg the first issuer outside of Germany under the 'Provide' platform.
