Eric is responsible for managing UCI's international lending activity and UCI's expansion as a lender and a third-party servicer.
UCI (Union de Creditos Inmobiliarios) is the leading specialized mortgage institution in Spain. Created in 1989 as a joint-venture company between the banking groups BNP Paribas and Banco Santander, it is based in Madrid. Eric has over 12 years of international experience in Europe and Latin America, where he has provided advice to external clients on the creation of market-based housing finance institutions and participated in several mortgage securitisations. From 1998 to 2002, Eric was the Managing Director for UCI Portugal, which he launched from scratch and which is now the leading mortgage lender through brokers and real estate agents in Portugal. Eric entered UCI's board of directors in 1993 and its management experience includes various operational positions such as Manager for Treasury and Strategic Planning, and Credit and Operations Director. Prior to joining UCI, Eric was responsible for the funding in the debt markets of the credit activities of Compagnie Bancaire, now incorporated within the BNP Paribas group. Eric holds an MBA from the IESE Business School in Barcelona (Spain), a MSc from the University of Southampton (UK) and a degree in Engineering from École Centrale (France). back |
