In this capacity he is responsible for developing global strategy, analyzing market opportunities and creating proposals and business plans for new international initiatives. He is also president of Countrywide International Consulting Services, LLC, a firm specialized in the analysis of and provision of technical assistance to primary and secondary mortgage market institutions worldwide. CHL and CICS are part of Countrywide Financial Corporation, a global financial services company with headquarters in Calabasas, California. Michael is an internationally known authority on housing and mortgage finance. He has published over 70 articles and book chapters, organized several conferences and made numerous presentations to government agencies, multi-lateral institutions, trade groups and academic and professional organizations. He has served on the faculties of Cornell University, the University of California, San Diego and the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton International Housing Finance Program.
