Svein Ivar, who joined Den norske Bank (DnB) in Oslo, Norway, in 1999, looks after international funding and international fixed income credit portfolio management and trading. Part of his responsibilities include developing a Norwegian covered bond legal framework and preparing DnB for utilising this new funding instrument.A graduate of the London School of Economics (1993) with a MSc in international accounting and finance, Svein Ivar worked in funding and trading for mortgage-bond issuer Vestenfjelske Bykreditt (now part of Nordea) in Bergen, Norway, from 1993-1996. He then joined the retail bank Postbanken in Oslo, Norway, working in funding, domestic fixed income credit portfolio management and international fixed income trading.
