Filomena joined Caixa Geral de Depósitos in 1998, following two years at the Instituto de Gestão de Crédito Público (Portuguese Debt Agency), where she was head of the debt management division.Filomena, who specialised in economics at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, also spent four years at the Ministry of Finance, first as a senior adviser (1992-1994) and then as deputy general director (1995-1996), prior to which she was an economist in the research department (monetary policy unit) of Banco de Portugal. Filomena has also taught at the Instituto Superior de Gastão, the Instituto Superior de Comunicação Social, and the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. back |
