He has been with the Verband deutscher Hypothekenbanken (Assocation of German Mortgage Banks) in Bonn since 1989. In 1991, he received a doctorate in law from the University of Würzburg with a doctoral thesis on "Die Eurohypothek" (The Euro-mortgage). Since 1993, he has acted as consultant to parliaments, ministries, banking supervision authorities and banks in central and eastern European countries in transition on capital markets, Pfandbriefe (mortgage bonds), mortgage banking, real estate finance, mortgage law and land register law. Since 2001, he has been Managing Director and Head of Department "International Mortgage Banking" at the VDH. back |
