BOARD ROOM SESSIONS

    Business Architects International


    As international account director, Tammo van Leeuwen is responsible for overseeing all international business development efforts for the loans solutions of Business Architects International. As a member of the executive committee of Business Architects International, Tammo is accountable for promoting the BAI Loans solutions across Europe.

    He has been involved in the implementation of large shared loans service centres within two large tier-one banks. Based on these experiences he has built up a strong knowledge in this area and is a regular speaker at events addressing the practical implications of loans factories beyond national boundaries. Inaugurating the newly developed Collateral Management System, Tammo comprehends the challenges faced by banks needing supports in registering, allocating and valuating their assets and collateral to support the Basel II accord requirements.

    Tammo is currently involved in the strategic expansion of the BAI concept to allow loan service providers to integrate the funding and servicing process in order to maximize the value of the portfolios and to create a transparent operational process based on an adaptable European loans system.

    Joining the company in 1999, Tammo's initial task was to assist BAI with their successful introduction on the Dutch market. Prior to BAI, Tammo worked in management, sales and marketing positions with IT companies focused on the financial markets and a large Dutch insurer were he specialized in the sales and marketing of mortgages.

    He has started his education at the officer's academy of the Royal Dutch Air Force. After graduating, he remained in service for four years. He has a number of qualifications of the Dutch Institute for banking and insurance education and holds a degree in marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), one of the largest and most prestigious marketing associations in the world.

    He lives in Bergen with his wife and two children and his two Italian Spinoni dogs.
