Ferdinand is managing director of capital markets in continental Europe for the International Business Group of GMAC-RFC. He is also a Board Member of GMAC-RFC Nederland, the originator of mortgages in the Dutch market. In addition to the business in Netherlands, GMAC-RFC also is active in Germany and France. He managed GMAC RFC's 1st and 2nd Continental European securitization transactions of the E-MAC NL program. The third transaction has just been announced and is expected to price in October 2003.Before joining RFC, Ferdinand worked for three financial institutions in The Netherlands, Nomura Bank, Citibank and NIB Capital Bank. He started in 1989 with Nomura Bank as a trader in the treasury department. In 1993 he accepted a position in the capital markets team of NIB Capital Bank where he was responsible for managing its portfolio of corporate and structured bonds. Between 1995 and 1997 he headed the capital markets department of the London branch of NIB Capital Bank. The London office was responsible for the structured credit portfolio. In 1999 after a brief period with Citibank where he was responsible for sales of structured finance products to institutional investors, Ferdinand rejoined NIB Capital to become part of its Mortgage Backed Asset department. In this department that originated and funded Dutch residential mortgages, Ferdinand was responsible for managing the structuring of several mortgage-backed securities. Ferdinand and his wife, Caroline, have two daughters and two sons: Lisa, Babette, Stijn and Max. They live in Rhenen, a town near Arnhem in the Netherlands. back |
