BOARD ROOM SESSIONS
For senior executives in lending, funding, risk management, treasury, administration. Keynote speeches and panel discussions covering the on pan-European issues, topics and trends.     Clive WoodClive Wood Clive joined HSBC from university in 1977. He held a number of roles in branch banking before being seconded to the Investment Management Regulatory Organisation (IMRO) in 1986~ personal assistant to the chief executive.

    He subsequently joined HSBC's investment banking qompliance function working with different business units in asset management, venture capital, treasury, offshore and corporate trusteeship.

    In 1991 he was appointed general manager of HSBC Bank Stockbrokers before establishing HSBC's bancassurance compliance function in 1994. He was appointed head of distribution in 1998.

    In January 2000 he was appointed head of home buying with specific responsibility for developing and implementing HSBC's mortgage strategy. In July 2001 Clive was appointed head of banking and mortgages, with responsibility for meeting the current account, banking, mortgage and borrowing needs of HSBC's personal customers in the UK.

    He sits on the Executive Committee of the Council of Mortgage Lenders and the HSBC Personal Banking Management Committee.
