Tammy Richardson VP - European Business DevelopmentGE Mortgage Insurance
In her role as Vice President, European Business Development, Tammy is responsible for expanding GE's Mortgage Insurance (MI) European platform. So far, GE has established MI branches in Italy, Spain, The Netherlands and has hired a representative for Sweden. Other target countries include Denmark, Germany, Portugal and France. Tammy is also responsible for mortgage-related acquisitions in Europe.Tammy is from upstate New York and completed university at Union College in Schenectady, NY. She spent a term abroad in the UK living with a family and studying Economics and Political Science at the University of Bath. Tammy graduated from Union in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (Honours) and is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, a national honour society for Economics. After university, Tammy joined GE's Financial Management Program, which requires course work and 5 rotational assignments in various GE businesses. After a rotation in GE Real Estate, Tammy went on to complete assignments at GE's investment bank Kidder, Peabody Inc., GE Capital Treasury, Corporate Environmental Programs and GE Mortgage Securities. Tammy spent several years at GE's Mortgage Insurance business in various roles including Mortgage Servicing, Negotiate Transactions, Product Development, and Risk Management prior to moving to the UK to join GE's Global Consumer Finance business in Leeds as Finance Manager - Sales & Business Development. In 1999 Tammy moved to London to develop the Risk Management team at the growing Mortgage Insurance business and in 2001 was promoted to her current role of VP - European Business Development. back |
