    Santiago Ruiz-Morales Santiago Ruiz-Morales worked for Bankers Trust for 16 years in a variety of positions in Madrid, New York, Caracas, Paris and London in the International, Capital Markets Origination, Leveraged Buyout and Structured Finance departments. Later, he spent some time with Citius, a private equity advisory firm in Madrid, before joining CAI-Madrid as Director General, Institutional Area. In late 1998, he was put in charge of the Securitisation Project.

    CAI-Madrid has been ranked as the No. 1 ABS bookrunner for Spain for the last two years, 2000 and 2001. Over this period, CAI-Madrid has led 17 Spanish ABS issues, of which 10 have been MBS. These include the largest non-self-led European RMBS launched in euros, the first Spanish nonconforming RMBS, the first securitisation of covered bonds, the first SME loan CLO in Europe and a record-breaking 14 multi-originator transactions.

    Santiago has studied in Madrid, London, Bogota and Washington, DC, and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
